When it comes to casual looks, denim will always reign supreme. With its endless styles, denim is the perfect any season item. There are several types of jeans to wear for the springtime.

Baggy jeans might possibly be the coolest and most comfortable denim trend this spring. They have a fit similar to that of a wide-leg trouser, but also the effortless appeal of a blue jean.

Boyfriend jeans are similar to wide leg jeans with more relaxed shapes are everywhere on the fashion set at the moment. My personal favorite, the straight-leg jeans, has a straight fit, typically comes in a lighter wash, and bunches just slightly on top of the shoes.

Lastly, there are mom jeans, which features a mid- to high-rise waist with straight legs that aren’t too snug and hit just at the ankle.

How To Style Jeans

No matter what your favorite jeans are – there are plenty of ways on how to style jeans. The versatile piece can go from office to happy hour. For a casual outfit, grab your favorite sweater and add spring twist to it. Add a basket bag for a Parisian take.

Any pair of shoes works with jeans. Shoes that are ultra casual, professional or summertime, and the list goes on. The best thing is that is essentially no wrong way to style denim.

While a slim fitting white tee is one way to balance out a loose-fit jean, outerwear that carries a similar amount of baggage creates a cool, effortlessly oversized silhouette from top to bottom.

This spring, go for the oversized blazer.

Light-wash jeans are often considered a more casual staple in the wardrobe.

However, the addition of a sharp blazer and fashion-forward pumps will instantly elevate the look and take the outfit to the next level.

White heels have proven to be an essential shoe to pair with pretty much any outfit and adds a polished look to jeans.

The slouchier, the better.

Offset the casual coolness of this relaxed look with a black bodysuit and a pair of black sandals.

In my opinion, there is a denim pick for each and every occasion, no matter if you’re commuting to and from the office or dressing up for an elegant evening out.

Pair an elegant off-the-shoulder look with a slightly baggy denim outfit for a classic look.

When it comes to trying a new jean silhouette, you can never go wrong with sticking to a true blue wash.

Sweater + Denim + Flats

Bring instant polish to a sweater and jeans fit with an elegant silk scarf and a pair of Mary Jane flats.

Mary Janes have made the transition from preppy to cool girl. The strapped shoe had its most recent comeback during the last year.

The stylish ease of a straight leg jean is a fashion crowd favorite for a reason.

Coming in a multitude of colors, the style of jeans is a welcome addition to spring. Pair with a simple pullover and sandals.

Jacket + Jeans + Sneakers

Shackets have reigned supreme the last few seasons, that melding of shirt and jacket that is the perfect combination of sporty and oversized.

To keep the overall look sporty, finish off with a distressed denim look and sneakers.

No matter your body type, mom jeans works for everyone.  Mom jeans—the high-waisted, tapered-leg pants —have evolved from simply having a moment to a classic pair of jeans.

Pair with the timeless wardrobe staple, a leather jacket, to finish off the look.

Trench Coat + Shirt + Jeans + Clogs

Spring dressing is all about transitional layers—and nothing feels more essential than an easy trench coat.

It’s no secret that the style staple reigns supreme season after season. The trench has a staying power – a forever chic that’s hard to find elsewhere in your closet.

Shirt + Jeans

It doesn’t get any easier than a crisp white button-down shirt and straight jeans, but here’s a reminder that there are other shades and washes to incorporate into the tried and true combination.

Any pair of footwear would work with this combination – a pair of high heels or sneakers.

A pair of pointed heels feels unexpected with light-wash high waist jeans, and a poplin shirt.
