If you’re like me, you love all things Chanel. What’s not to love about the luxury brand? The timeless appeal of their apparel and bags, has withstood so many trends in the industry. Despite the many of trends, women always have gravitated towards the classic appeal of their clothing and bags.

Founded in 1910, the luxury house was founded by Gabrielle Chanel. Coco Chanel opened up her first store, which was a hat shop, at 21 Rue Cambon. Her clientele and popularity quickly grew and a more stores started to spring up.

She added clothing, skincare, and handbags to her popular brand. After designing timeless dresses, tweed clothing, well-designed shoes were her next design. In 1957, the famous two tone leather slingbacks made their way into Chanel stores.

Chanel Shoes

The two-tone slingbacks are one of Coco’s most recognized designs. The original color is nude and black, with the nude intended to elongate the leg, while the black cap at the end intended to shorten the foot – a remarkable flattering effect. Afterwards, many other colors emerged, but the original remains the most popular. Besides the slingbacks, the two-tone ballet flats are equally recognizable.

The ballet flats, designed by Karl Lagerfeld, was an homage to Coco and became known for their unbridled femininity. The ballet flats come in a range of colors and textures. Despite the different types of textures, such as tweed, the original beige and black is the most popular ballerinas.

The Chanel dad sandals were unveiled in Summer 2019 and quickly became a coveted item.  The style typically features a chunky sole, along with thick velcro straps. The essential interlocking “CC” logo repeated twice for maximum visual impact. The chunky sandals quickly became the Summer it-shoe and every fashionista flocked to wear them.

Despite being labeled “ugly,” the dad sandal only grew in popularity because of their counterbalance to feminine dresses and denim. They became the perfect androgynous footwear. Afterwards, many other luxury brands, such as Prada and Fendi, came out with their own version of the iconic Chanel dad sandals.

Chanel Shoe Dupes

As you can imagine, these shoes are a pretty penny. We’re talking upwards of near $1000. If you covet these shoes and don’t necessarily have the funds ( neither do I ), there are a host of Chanel shoe dupes out on the market.

There are plenty of Chanel-inspired ballet flats, slingbacks and dad sandals that look like the original.

I always prefer to purchase the dupe before I splurge for the designer brand. They are a great way to try a dupe of the classic brand, before splurging on the original shoes.

In order to achieve Coco’s look, I am sharing the best Chanel slingback, ballerina and dad sandal dupes, and alternatives for cheap. These shoes are comparable to the designer original, and are great quality.

Scroll below for some great Chanel shoe dupes to the original shoes.

Chanel Ballerina Flats

The ballet flats are a derivative of the original two-toned slingback pump.

The ballet flats have a rounded almond-shaped toe. The ballerinas are a classic style in comparison to the more on-trend squared-toe styles we currently see right now.

No matter the color, the slingbacks are a classic shoe.

The two-tone slingbacks are the adult version of the ballet flats. The heel of the slingback makes them the perfect height – not too high or too low. They are also the perfect all-day shoe.
